Dear Fellow RC Enthusiast,

We at ‘HFAA’ have organized “H.F.A.A. Aeromodelling Competition 2012” at C.K. Pithawalla College of Engineering near Surat, Gujarat, India. We would like to invite you, to participate and be with us, on this exciting event. Following details are given hereunder for your information.

Event Scheduled:                            2nd February to 5th February 2012
Timings:                                           0700 Hr onwards.
Nature of Meet:                               Get together along with Competitions.

C.K. Pithawalla College of Engineering

A Private airfield belonging trustees, C. K. Pithawalla College of Engineering, located around 15 kms from Surat Railway Station and about 4 kms from Surat (Dumas) Airport.

Fee Structure:

* Sr. No.1 and 2 above will have access to the shamiana, hanger and pit area.
* Every person accompanied by the flyer is subjected to a charge as specified in Sr. No.2.
* Visitors / spectators will not be allowed into the shamiana, hanger and pit area. There will be a designated space provided for them and their access will be limited only to that space.
* Payments once done will not be refunded.
* Photo identity proof will have to be presented during registration at the registration counter. Participants registering beforehand are requested to send a scan copy of photo identity proof along with the registration form.
* Ones entry in the event and to a particular area is as the sole discretion of the organizers of HFAA. HFAA deserves the right to allow or disallow any ones entry in the venue.

Once the forms are submitted, please carry out the payment formalities. Only on the conformation of the receipt of the payment, your registration will come in to effect, of which, you will be informed by HFAA thru email and telephone. Hence, it is very important that you put your email and phone details properly.

General Guidelines for Competitions:

• For the Novice and the Intermediate Categories, a list of routine manoeuvres to be performed will be put up on the website of HFAA (www.hi-flyers.in) by 20th January’ 2012. Expert category will get their schedule 1 hr before the competition. No specific schedule for Jet category will be provided. Expert category in Heli will be a freestyle routine of participant’s choice.
• Maximum Flight time allowed is 15 minutes for Jets and 7 minutes for all other categories.
• Any prop airplane of any size can enter Freestyle category. However, participants willing to enter this category should submit their freestyle routine video to the organizers before 30th January, 2012, to have approval to enter.
• Before entering the competition, all the models will have to be inspected by the Judges. Only after their approval, the model will be allowed to fly.
• Only registered flyers will be allowed to fly / participate in the meet.
• Allotted flight time includes the total time right from the names getting announced until the model lands and taxis back. If not adhered to the timeline, participant will be disqualified from the category
• For any prop category, expert cannot enter the intermediate of any other category and vice versa.

Support at the Airfield:

1. An open area for visitors / spectators to witness the meet from a safe distance.
2. Covered area measuring approx. 50 Ft. X  100 Ft. adjoining the Runway to house:
   1. 10 nos. of assembly & maintenance tables for short term use.
   2. Approx. 2000 sq. Ft. of parking and storage space of participating models, for overnight use, on first come, first serve basis. Though the place will be guarded but the club does not assume any responsibility for damage or loss of any nature. It shall be at the risk of the owner of the equipment.
   3. Ample of main power supply sockets (240 volts) exclusive for charging of radio equipments will be available in the shamiana.
   4. Spectator / Pilot seating area with about 50 Chairs.
3. There will be food and beverage counter at the venue which will supply things on chargeable basis.
4.  Participants desirous of fuels (Gasoline, Glow fuel with/without nitro and Jet Turbine fuel) at the venue should inform the organizers well in advance so as to enable them to keep the fuel ready. This would be on chargeable basis which organizers will let know of during the course of conversation.
5. A pit area for pilots to fly from and connecting the hanger to the runway.
6. There will be a provision for stalls for local hobby dealers desirous of putting up their equipment for display and sales. Further details on this coming soon.
